Bonny Mack was raised on a dairy farm during the golden 60s and 70s. She loved the calves, cows, barn cats, dogs and especially, the horses. Now, as a grandmother, she lives on a small farm and enjoys sharing the wonders of farm life, past and present, with her grandkids and other visitors. Writing about a tomte (pronounced tom-te), determined to care for the cutest of farm critters is an extension of that desire to share farms with children. As this narrative illustrates, interactions with animals can often yield unexpected outcomes. Besides being a lifetime horse enthusiast, Bonny also loves hiking, gardening, traveling, and of course, spending time with her grandchildren.
